Sarcastic, girl-power songs are on the rise these days, especially in the Pop genre. Katelyn Tarver has her debut EP coming out early next year, demonstrating just this – especially with her latest single ‘Hate To Tell You’.
Arizona State University is teaming with creative forces to be reckoned with and in 2013 three of those students joined together to create Indie Pop band Weslynn. After a typical touring circuit of their home city, they added another member to complete the setup and extended their outreach to feature the rest of the World.
Dubbed “the ultimate female rockstar” by The Blues Magazine reflects just how long a career singer/songwriter Beth Hart has had – after rising to fame in the 90s with a few hit singles, ‘LA Song’ being the most notable, reaching number 1 in New Zealand and featuring in 90210, only raising her profile further.
London-based trio Chilé are very new to the industry, but are already making a big name for themselves. Their Synth-Pop, electronic-infused singles are definitely going to be big club hits and be on chill-out playlists too. They’ve got an EP due out later this year and I for one can’t wait to hear it. You would’ve heard Green Day’s music somewhere, as their career spanning three decades has brought them a place in the Hall Of Fame, a Broadway musical and countless albums and tours. Following on from the ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré! trilogy of 2012 comes Revolution Radio, sounding more like the politically-charged album titles the band are well-known for.
For a rock band with only a couple of singles under their belt, touring with Eric Clapton and Van Morrison is a massive deal and is definitely worthy of note, showing that Hunter & The Bear’s star is on the rise with their melodic rock anthems. (more…)
