Blogmas Day 9: My Favourite Christmas Food

It’s not long to go now, meaning people will be fighting each other in the supermarkets over brussels sprouts and other Christmas food. Here’s a few of my favourite items of Christmas food that I indulge in over the festive period.

Mini Sausages with Sesame Seeds and Honey
As an alternative to pigs in blankets, my Mum takes cocktail sausages and cooks them in the oven with some sesame seeds and honey. You HAVE to try it. They’re one of my food highlights every Christmas, and they’re made specially for Christmas a treat.

Roast Potatoes
Ah, roast potatoes. They’re one of my favourite parts of every roast dinner, so having them with Christmas dinner makes them so special. I do like to go back for a few more if they’re available and spare!

Cheese and Crackers
Crackers at Christmas whilst watching a TV Christmas special is part-and-parcel of the day. There’s also cheeseboards, so you can spread cheese onto said crackers to your hearts’ content. Anyone else agree?

Dessert
Christmas desserts at all the different supermarkets look absolutely amazing. I’m personally not a fan of Christmas pudding, so one of the other puddings would be perfect for my family and I. I’ll be showing you my pick of the desserts from different places in one of my further blog posts, so be sure to look out for that.

Is there any Christmas food that you eat every year without fail? Let me know in the comments.

A K Jones
xx
